Firm Foundation is an 11-week summer discipleship experience designed for the whole family. While students participate in Confirmation, adults are invited to explore faith through Alpha — both happening at the same time on Tuesday evenings. Our goal is to help households build a strong, lasting foundation in Christ together.
Confirmation is a guided journey for students to explore what Christians believe, why it matters, and what it means to personally follow Jesus. Whether a student is curious about faith, preparing for baptism, or considering church membership, this class provides a clear, thoughtful introduction to the Christian life within the Global Methodist tradition.
Students will work through The Absolute Basics of the Christian Faith, learning about Scripture, salvation, the church, prayer, and how to live out faith in everyday life.
This is more than a class — it is a milestone moment where students are invited to make their faith their own.
Confirmation Celebration:
On Celebration Sunday (October 4), students who complete the program will participate in a Confirmation Ceremony. Those who have not yet been baptized may receive baptism, while those already baptized will take part in a meaningful baptism remembrance.

Adult Alpha Experience
At the same time students are in Confirmation, adults are invited to participate in Alpha — a welcoming, discussion-based course that explores life’s big questions and the core of the Christian faith.
Alpha is designed for everyone:
- Those new to Christianity
- Those returning to church after time away
- Those with questions or doubts
- Those who simply want to grow deeper
Each session includes connection, engaging teaching, and open conversation in a relaxed, pressure-free environment. No prior Bible knowledge is required.

Firm Foundation is built on the belief that faith is strongest when it is nurtured at home. While the church is honored to teach and support, parents and guardians are the primary spiritual influence in their children’s lives. By offering Confirmation and Alpha simultaneously, we aim to equip entire families to grow, learn, and talk about faith together throughout the week.
